Trauma and the vagus nerve (fight, flight, freeze)
Understanding how traumatic events disrupt the nervous system

Traumatic events can significantly disrupt the nervous system's ability to self-regulate. In many individuals, this disruption causes the nervous system to become stuck in an "on" position, leading to overstimulation and an inability to relax. When the nervous system remains in this reactive state, it can trigger a range of overwhelming feelings, including anxiety, anger, restlessness, panic, and hyperactivity.

Have you ever felt like you are permanently in fight, flight or freeze? You feel like you want to run, hide or fight a situation. This is your nervous system activation.
By recognizing these symptoms and understanding their connection to trauma, individuals can explore effective strategies for healing and regaining control over their nervous system.

I use a variety of ways of working with your vagus nerve to bring it into what is know as the green state or social engagement.
